SCHREE PETTIGREW, a paralegal running in a conservative district in Knoxville, is giving incumbent Stacy Campfield the fight of his life. You may remember that Campfield, a first term right-wing Republican, caused a furor earlier in the year by making race-baiting comments about the state legislature's Black Caucus. Campfield is also on record with other rants against liberals and Democrats, unbefiting an elected official to the Assembly. Schree, who touts improving education and healthcare as her most important priorities, will be a much-needed progressive voice in East Tennessee. Please help her!
